Winford “Buck” Lindsay heads an architectural/engineering/interiors firm, Lindsay Pope Brayfield Clifford, in Lawrenceville, Georgia.  He graduated from Georgia Tech in 1968, and later enlisted in the US Army, reaching the rank of captain.  Upon discharge, he spent a year in south France as a free-lance artist.  Lindsay architectural specialization is hospitality; he has designed hundreds of hotels throughout the USA and Canada.  He was named Volunteer-of-the-Year in Gwinnett by United Way in 1995, and in 2000 was Gwinnett County’s Small Businessman-of-the-Year.  He was elected a Fellow of the American Institute of Architects in 2004.  In 1991, he served as District Governor of Rotary for north Georgia   In 1996, he founded Rotarian Action Group for Population & Development, a 20,000+ member group of Rotarians who believe that humanity is on a collision course: too many people / not enough resources – and that Rotary can do something about it.  He serves on the national board of The Population Institute.  He has worked on international humanitarian projects in every corner of the world.  Buck enjoys fitness programs, ballroom dancing and architectural sketching.  Buck and his wife Cindy live on family property near Lawrenceville, and have two adult sons.
