Martin holds a business administration degree from the University of Mannheim and received training with DG Diskontbank in Frankfurt. Outside of his native Germany, he has a lifetime of working experience in Taiwan, India, Italy, Portugal, Eastern Europe and China where he led contract- and price negotiations, setting-up production plants, implementing production control systems, managing supply chain development, team building, strategy development, company restructuring and providing cross border takeover advise.Among other positions Martin was Managing Director with responsibility for the German and Austrian operations of a New York, USA, based group and CKO for world markets. Parallel to this he consulted mainland Chinese manufacturers regarding their European market- and brand strategies as well as their local restructuring.Since 2001 Martin has been based in Hong Kong where he also built a Fiduciary Services business as well as providing white glove private client services through Roeth&Partners. He became a Rotarian with RC of Milano Scala in Italy and later joined RC Hong Kong South where he held numerous positions including serving as President in 2011-12. In District 3450 he served repeatedly as Deputy District Secretary and Assistant Governor for Area 3.
