Emmanuel Lufadeju

Emmanuel Adedolapo Lufadeju PhD is a Professor of Agriculture, with emphasis on Crop-Livestock Integration. He studied at University of Maryland USA and Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria Nigeria.  A British Council Scholar, He was a Visiting Research Fellow at Rowett Research Institute, Aberdeen Scotland. He is licensed to perform intra-gastric surgery on living animals and a Certified Animal Nutritionist.   He has been The General Secretary African Research Network for Agro-by-Products based in Addis Ababa Ethiopia.  Dolapo as he is fondly called is a Member of the Nigerian Society for Animal Production and The British Nutrition society.  He is Consultant to many National and International Organisations including the World Bank, Fadama III Project, Odu’a Investment Company, Limited and Technical Center for Agricultural and Rural Cooperation (CTA) Lome Convention ACP-EU Netherlands and the Agriculture and Rural Management and Training Institute (ARMTI) Ilorin; UNIDO/USAID; He is the Local Advisor of Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation for West Africa on Agriculture.

Dolapo is the Managing Consultant and Chief Executive Officer of his own Agricultural Development Consulting Firm, Lufarmco Investment (Nig) Limited since 1998.  He is consulting for many National and International Agencies.  He worked at the National Animal Production Research Institute, Ahmadu Bello University for 18 years.  He is a member of the Nigerian Society for Animal Production, and has served on many Committees and Task Forces of the Federal Government of Nigeria on Agricultural Development. 

Dolapo joined Rotary in 1980, and is a member of the Rotary Club of Zaria. 

He has served as District Governor, RI Committees and Task Force member, RI Committee Chairman and RI President’s Representative to FAO Regional Conference.  He has also represented RI President at District Conferences. 

He is Past Chairman of the Rotarian Initiative for Population and Development, now RI Action Group.  He serves now as the Area Coordinator Sub-Sahara Africa and Treasurer. He is presently the Chairman of the Council of Rotary District Governors of Nigeria

Dolapo is a recipient of the ‘Service Above Self’ Award.  He enjoys dancing and travelling.  He is happily married to Stella who is also a Rotarian Assistant Governor.
